After a couple practice days at the track and one race so far, I'd have to say I'm very satisfied with this engine.
First off all, a tuned Novarossi racing engine for 200 bucks is an incredible deal. It may say Top instead of Novarossi, but it has all the same quality Novarossi parts that you would expect. 15010 crank, double seal front bearing, cnc piston, etc...
Break in was a breeze, but it does have a lot of pinch and it got stuck at tdc on me the first time starting it. I'd recommend heating it with a heat gun or head warmer to 200°F before even attempting to turn it over.
Performance is great! It really screams in my mbx7t and has more than enough power for a truggy. So far I've found it runs great on a variety of pipe combos. My go-to combo is 9853/41021 as it is very smooth on the low end and doesn't lack anything up top either. I found I do a lot less "blipping" with this engine and pipe combo than usual, and I'm smoother on the throttle more like I would be with an electric.
All in all it's a great engine and not sure what else to say, but if you're a fan of the p5 this engine definitely will not disappoint.
